EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Entekra was engaged to address significant structural issues in an aged Fortitude Valley building, where severe concrete spalling had compromised the safety of the third floor due to persistent water ingress. Our solution involved repairing the columns and lintels on this floor, allowing the building to remain operational on the first and second floors during the work. The affected concrete was demolished to expose and replace damaged rebar, followed by the application of high early strength gunite. With the concrete repairs completed, the tenants were able to finalise the interior fit-out, transforming the space into a safe and functional public venue. This approach ensured minimal disruption while effectively addressing the structural deficiencies.
